Prepare for your lash appointment
Before your lash appointment:
- Come to your appointment with a clean face. This will ensure more time for adding lashes and less time removing eye makeup. Be sure all mascara is removed. It is also helpful to avoid applying moisturizers and sunblock prior to your eyelash appointment as the oils can prevent the eye pads used in the procedure from adhering to your skin. If you use waterproof mascara, avoid using it 2-3 days before your first appointment. The film it leaves on your lashes may prevent the extensions from adhering properly.
- Shower prior to your appointment.
- Eliminate any unnecessary contact with water or steam within the first 24 hours of having lash extensions. This will ensure that the bond between the semi-permanent lashes and your natural lashes properly set.
- Remove Contacts- to avoid any discomfort, it is always suggested that contacts are removed allowing eyes to be comfortable in a natural and rested state during your lash application.
- AVOID CAFFEINE- do not drink too much coffee before your appointment, you want to be comfortable and at peace during the appointment.

Aftercare Instructions
Aftercare is the most important thing you can do for your new investment. Reveal Beauty wants your extensions to stay fluffy, healthy, and attached to your natural lashes as long as possible, looking lovely all the way up until your next appointment. The following tips will help you to take the best care of your new lashes and preserve your life line (the adhesive) while keeping your natural lashes healthy and beautiful!
• Avoid getting your lashes wet for 4 hours.
• Working out/sweating heavily should be avoided for 12 hours after lash application to allow the adhesive to fully cure
• Avoid getting close to high heat such as {opening the oven/bbq or looking over boiling water) Dry high heat and/or lots of moist heat will affect the adhesive and the curl of the lashes. it can also singe the lashes! AVOID Steaming, saunas, tanning beds
• Use caution when blow-drying hair. Extensive heat on lashes can distort the shape of the extensions. Please be gentle with your lashes.
• Avoid rubbing, picking and/or pulling at your extensions and natural lashes. This can cause damage to your natural lashes.
• Don’t use oil-based and/or waterproof mascaras or eyeliners.
• Mascara is not recommended for use as it will dissolve the bond of the adhesive with the lashes.
• If you are going to wear any mascara or eyeliner FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION, please make sure it is a water-based product and only use the recommended brand from your Lash Artist.
• Only apply mascara to your bottom lashes for daily use
• If you are feeling the need to apply mascara, you may just want more lashes and you should schedule your maintenance appointment sooner.
• Avoid creams, eye makeup removers, lotions sunscreens or cleansers containing oils on or near your eyelashes. Care must be taken to apply eye cream sparingly with avoidance of the lash line area.
• Do Not use Q-tips or Cotton Balls. The lint can snag your lash extensions and pull your natural lash out.
• Do Not use an eyelash curler on your extensions. It is best to Let your lashes air dry naturally and then you can separate the lashes with a clean spoolie brush (shake and shimmy method).
• If you do not like wet lashes you may gently close your eyes onto a lint free towel or dry your lashes with a cool fan.
• Reveal Beauty recommends appointments every 2-3 weeks, to fill in the areas where the natural lashes have fallen out and new lashes are growing in.
• After Care is Super Important, please do not skip these steps !!
• Please do not perm or Tint your lashes before or after your lash extension application.
• Please do not use a regular eyelash curler.
• Please do not rub your lashes when washing your face.
• Please do not try to remove the extensions on your own.
• Please do not cut the extensions (you may cut your own lashes).
• It is not advised to wear excessive makeup with lash extensions, the makeup itself as well as the more thorough cleansing needed will cause the adhesive to break down much more quickly.
• It is normal for the client to experience the loss of a few lashes during the first 24 to 48 hrs after the application
• If necessary, please gently comb through the lashes each morning to maintain a good appearance, only putting the brush on the tips of your lashes.
• DON’T FORGET TO WASH YOUR LASHES EVERY MORNING AND NIGHT!
• Please keep the eye area clean, this is very important. Some ladies love their lashes so much that they don’t want to get them wet at all. However, avoiding proper cleansing of the eye area and extensions can result in an eye infection whether wearing eyelash extensions or not.
• Try and sleep on your back to avoid crushing your extensions in the pillow (silk pillowcases are highly recommended).
• The “golden rule” for wearing eyelash extensions is other than keeping them clean by washing, the less you touch them the longer they will last.
• If an allergic reaction is suspected such as swelling, redness or puffiness, in the first case contact the studio. In severe cases, seek medical advice. (Eyelash adhesives generally contain 2-ethoxyethyl 2-cyanoacrylate)
